Smaller Than an Atom?

Smaller Than an Atom?

A Story by BlueShadow

I’ve always wondered what the smallest possible particle was like. For example, as of right now, science declares that atoms are the smallest particles possible, but isn’t it possible philosophically speaking that you could divide an atom further and further until it is nothing but a speck? I believe that you can divide matter up forever until all you have left is a dot. Matter is divisible infinitely and is remarkable for its ability to be divided up forever. There are particles that are smaller than atoms, such as quarks, bosons, and gluons, but they aren’t considered the fundamental unit of matter. So, I believe it is interesting to think about how small we can make matter. In theory, I believe it could continue forever.
