Honor vs. Dignity

Honor vs. Dignity

A Story by BlueShadow

Honor is like respect except in a more dignified way. Honor and respect are almost the same except honor is more formal. Dignity is the self-worth that one has by maintaining one’s own personal moral codes and philosophies. Honor and dignity are similar in that they both refer to a person’s face but differ in how much. Honor and dignity are similar in that they both refer to a person’s image and reputation but differ in that dignity is more “severe” in that it goes to the core of a person’s sense of worth and value. Honor is like the award given to someone who has done something of high moral value.
