The ComputerA Poem by BlueShadowI get home from the computer shop It was around one thousand dollars A lot more expensive than a mop Because it’s not supposed to falter I plug the computer in and turn the power on Stunned by its suave look and appearance Waiting for it to load makes me yawn Maybe that’s why it was on clearance Eventually the computer is on Like a candle that comes to light It seemed like decades or eons But now it’s working alright I get on the internet and love the interface Of the web browser and software Nothing about the computer deserves hate It deserves lots and lots of care I get off the computer after hours of web-browsing I loved the speed and clarity Of the results I got when searching For images of a person’s true sanity I get out a book and take a look Some things just can’t be replaced I get into my crammed reading nook Peace of mind isn’t something supposed to be chased © 2022 BlueShadowReviews
