Summer and Winter

Summer and Winter

A Poem by BlueShadow

Summer and winter are like two sides of a coin

One’s blistering hot, the other’s freezing cold

Summer is interesting being full of rain

Winter is intriguing with many mittens sold

I dislike both as both are extreme

Something more mild fits me better

I wait for the summer heat to calm down

So that spring’s birds may show their feathers

Spring is here and the lilies bloom

The air smells fresh like a room

By June, spring ends and summer’s here

I just hope that fall will be near
