Life and Luck

Life and Luck

A Poem by BlueShadow

Luck

The unknowing woman crosses the street

With someone in the library to meet

Suddenly a car comes in the sun’s heat

And she goes out of life in a feat

Where is God’s love or mercy or grace?

When such a thing comes here to chase?

Is there love but only evil and hate?

Suffering and agony only to state?

Heaven above cries for an answer

But nothing comes out but tears

From angels and saints and shadows

The mood on Earth turns mellow

Life is full of unfairness

Tragedy, gloom, and sadness abound

Unfairness, evil, wicked people prosper

Luckily, there is always the other side of the coin
