The Death of Mr. Nelson's SonA Story by BlueShadowMr. Nelson had been talking with his friend, Mr. James and was stunned by what he had heard. Mr. James had told him that Mr. Nelson’s son, Sam, had been killed in his deployment to the Iraq War. Mr. Nelson was at first flabbergasted at what he had heard but decided to keep his mouth shut. He simply went home and cried for a long time before deciding what to do else. He was so in shock that there were simply no words or emotions that could convey what he had thought about his life. Mr. Nelson was sad that his son was killed in action and wasn’t sure about what to do next. Mr. Nelson went home and simply cried. It was so saddening to think that his one and only child whom he had raised from birth had died such a tragic death. Mr. Nelson decided to go to his son’s grave and pray and mourn. He believed his son’s soul was in Heaven looking down on us from up above. Mr. Nelson was a sad man and felt sad that his son had died such a tragic death.
