Janis Davis's DilemmaA Story by BlueShadowThe woman was talking on her cell phone. “I have only 2000 dollars in my savings account?” The woman seemed surprised as she had been working all month long and she didn’t have much money at the end of the month. The woman was extremely saddened by the news and wasn’t sure how she was going to pay the electricity and water bills, this month. The woman got off her cell phone and trudged on through the pouring rain to make it to her home where she felt much better. Janis Davis’s apartment was a one bedroom apartment full of mystery and lore and was home to many former residents like a CEO and tennis champion. Janis David was a remarkably hardworking electrician who loved making people feel good about themselves and was remarkably good at making other people feel happy, too. The balance of her savings account stunned her as she was stunned that she only had two-thousand dollars left. She wasn’t sure what she was going to do about her bills but prayed to the angels that she would be able to afford her rent this month. Janis Davis was good at being an electrician and was a talent with wires, cables, and electricity. She was remarkably good at making people wonder in awe of how she could be so remarkably intelligent yet beautiful. Janis was wondering other things, though, like how she would afford her next meal. Money was short, and Janis was scared. She wasn’t sure how she’d afford all these bills that came flying at her left and right. Janis went to her handbag and got out her wallet and felt so good about her updated bank balance. It said, “5000 dollars” and made Janis feel a pang of relief. She was going to survive another month of difficulty but found it hard to understand where she was going to be for the months ahead. © 2022 BlueShadow |
