The Hawk vs. The Gophers

The hawk was making circles in the sky watching the home of the gophers with interest of a very high caliber. The hawk was so hungry and couldn’t wait to kill a gopher and eat it. The hawk was extraordinarily sharp, its intelligence very high. The hawk was encircling the gophers’ home when it finally saw a gopher that was the last one to enter its hole in the ground. The hawk lunged downwards at the gopher but it was too late. The gopher made it into its hole underground and the hawk was left wondering what on Earth it would do now. It was hungry beyond belief and there was nothing to feed it. So, it spotted a large worm and scooped it up and ate it feverishly. The hawk was full and it had just eaten a worm that tasted so good and filled it up so well. The hawk and the gophers were still enemies, and knew that maybe a day would come where either a gopher or the hawk would die.
