Heterogenous Mixture vs. Homogenous Mixture

Heterogenous Mixture vs. Homogenous Mixture

A Story by BlueShadow

A mixture is a substance in which two or more materials have been mixed together but not chemically combined. A heterogenous mixture, such as oil and water, a mud puddle, or ice cubes in a drink, are not completely mixed together. A homogenous mixture, on the other hand, is when you have something like coffee, hot chocolate, or two or more things completely mixed together. A compound differs from a mixture in that the two chemicals are chemically mixed together, or microscopically. A mixture is something that has two or more substances mixed together at a macroscopic level.
