How Many Sentences are Possible in the English Language?

A question that I've long pondered in my mind is how many sentences are possible in the English language? The more words a sentence has, the more possibilities there are. However, is there a limit to the number of words per sentence? What the number is I'm not exactly sure of. I believe that the English language is limitless in the number of sentences that can be written in it. English is abstract just like any other true language. So to answer the question, whatever number English has as the most number of words you can put into one sentence, is a good way to figure it out.
