Sphinx the Cat Dies

Sphinx the Cat Dies

A Story by BlueShadow

Sphinx was now a cat made of fur. She went to the yarn store and sat in the cart amazed by the seemingly countless varieties of yarn that made everyone in awe of the totally varied and remarkable types of yarn. Yarnland was a wonderful store full of yarn that made Sphinx glow with happiness upon seeing all the kinds of yarn in one store. She loved the yarn store and played with a black yarn ball she had gotten from Valerie at the store. Her life was beginning to become a bit better with all the different things she was experiencing as a real life cat.
Sphinx was so happy because her life was so good as a real life cat. She enjoyed going to the art museum, the history museum, the science museum, and of course, the restaurants that gave her a side of fish. Sphinx loved her life as a real life cat and thought that her life was becoming better by enjoying all the wonderful things that cats enjoyed when old.
Sphinx eventually became quite old for a cat and was starting to get diseases more and more easily because of her old age. Sphinx thought that life was extraordinarily challenging and difficult when she was old because she wasn’t as nimble as before. Sphinx knew that Valerie might go to the vet to put her down if she became too much in pain.
Sphinx went to the vet and sadly Valerie put her down. Sphinx was now in cat heaven enjoying the company and presence of countless cats being kind and loving toward her in a wonderful way. Sphinx thought Valerie was a wonderful owner and was thankful for having led a great and amazing cat life on Earth. She felt a pang of pure bliss.
