The Deep River

The Deep River

A Poem by BlueShadow

The river runs through the land
Blue, sparkling, and shimmering
Two crowds on either side stand
Facing each other glittering

They couldn't be more different, the two
Like black and white or up and down
The river separates them like an invisible fence
The river is near the rural town

In life sometimes the river exists
Between the poor and rich, young and old
Some find it hard to subsist
Other have plenty of gold
