Length of Time

A day is 24 hours, an hour being 60 minutes, and a minute being 60 seconds. What I wonder about is how short the length of time can get. Can't it get as small as possible indefinitely? A second can be divided into 100,000,000 units each of which can be divided further. Infinite divisibility is an interesting philosophical topic to me and is very interesting to me as a subject.
