The Roller Coaster RideA Story by BlueShadowWith the rain pitter-pattering on the windowpane during an eerie, dark, and stormy night, Joe looked out the window and saw the trees swaying in the unrelenting rain and the fierce winds. It had been a long night, with him unable to sleep well because he was thinking about today; the trip. It was going to be a four hour trek to the other edge of town because there was going to be a long trek to the roller coaster theme park that he was about to go to. The trip was going to be led by his dad, as his mom had died a few years ago. It was going to be a long journey, filled with twists and turns and countless exits on the highway. Life was going to be interesting and filled with lots of surprises. Joe couldn’t wait. Morning came and the sun shone in the sky like a candle illuminating a house. Joe got out of bed and looked at his closet and saw the clothes he had; a few t-shirts, jeans, socks, and other apparel. Joe put on a polo and shorts and was ready to go on the long trip with his dad. He and his dad got into the car and began the long journey to the place far away and was excited about the ability to go to somewhere new and amazing. Joe was excited about today’s trip and couldn’t wait to see all the rides at the amusement park. Joe found the amusement park to me amazing at first glance. They had arrived there after a couple of hours and were glad to stretch and bask in the sun. They rode many different rides which shook them till they were about to puke. The amusement park was an exceptionally amazing and fun-filled journey of joy and happiness. The trip was a success and Joe loved the cotton candy and rides of sheer terror. It was fun getting scared every once in a while. © 2023 BlueShadow |
