The Birthday CakeA Poem by BlueShadow10 candles were placed on top of the cake With love, care, delight, and merriment John had a smile that he knew he couldn’t fake The cake was so heavy he couldn’t carry With eagerness and joy he blew the candles out Feeling happy and excited, too He ate the chocolate cake with his very loud mouth And with delight he chewed and chewed John turned 10 at the time of the celebration A delightful age to be and live However the cake gave him some constipation And he went to his bedroom and slept and dreamt His birthday party was festive and wonderful Full of joyous rambunctiousness all day long The party had numerous people and guests His birthday present was a gigantic Chinese gong © 2023 BlueShadow |
