Tagalog - An Introduction

Tagalog - An Introduction

A Story by BlueShadow

The Philippines is an island nation with thousands of islands constituting an archipelago. The Philippines's main language is Tagalog, and some phrases that are important to know are "Kamasta ka", or how are you, and "Mabuhay", which means welcome. Tagalog is the main language spoken there, although there are many other dialects and languages spoken because the islands are sometimes isolated from one another. The Philippines is a wonderful and amazing country filled with tropical and rainy weather all year long. Another Tagalog phrase to learn is "Maligayang bati", or happy birthday. Tagalog is a wonderful language to learn and will let you travel the Philippines with greater enjoyment. I enjoy learning about the Philippines and its culture and languages.
