Venison Stew Celebration

Venison Stew Celebration

A Poem by BlueShadow

I went to my Aunt Mary’s house

It was lit up with lights and candles

She was going to make a stew tonight

Something that my stomach could handle

I was so hungry today

My belly’s been grumbling and rumbling

It was the 15th of May

I was going to go to her house and stay

She said she was making venison stew

Something delicious, wonderful, and appetizing

It was something that I would chew and chew

Venison stew was so wonderfully inviting

She got out the pot and set it on the dinner table

It was filled with carrots, peas, and venison meat

I couldn’t believe it, maybe I was in a fable

Because the stew looked so delicious to me

I ate the stew and felt very full

A most wonderful and awesome meal

It tasted better than a restaurant’s veal

It made my body heal and heal
