Remote, small, and populated by few

Tuvalu is an island nation surrounding a lagoon

It has about 12,000 people in total

Where I’ll be going next June

Tuvalu is remarkable for its naturally clean waters

The Pacific Ocean surrounds it completely

Tuvalu is a gem to be found while traveling

Filled with hotels, stores, and beautiful beaches

The language of Tuvalu is Tuvaluan

Tuvaluan is what the native people call their language

The people there are called Polynesians

And are remarkable for their luck in land

Tuvalu is remarkable for its location

Far away from any sizable land

Tuvalu is a place of natural wonder

And makes my day with the people’s kindness

I leave Tuvalu and wonder when I’ll be back

An island nation filled with plenty

The beautiful waters, weather, and sun

Make me feel a little bit sorry
