Trust is like a key

A key that can unlock a door

A door which leads to another world

Trust is so valuable, but so rare

In a world of liars…

How can one trust at all?
I know I am small enough to understand my significance

In the grand scheme of things what am I but a dust particle

How can I trust when there are so many horrible things

Happening in the world

Trust is like a gift

If someone trusts you

That’s yours to keep

But in a world of liars…

I am not trusting anyone
