A Hearty Dinner

Suzy and Richard were two siblings of the Johnson family. They lived in a beautiful and quaint home in a quiet town in Missouri. They were so happy to live in a place so tranquil but also sometimes wanted the characteristics of a modern city. Suzy and Richard loved to go to the playground and play on the monkey bars and also loved to go down the slide. What they really liked, however, was Mom’s homemade chicken pot pie, a large pie with peas, carrots, chicken, and gravy as the stuffing. Mom loved making her chicken pot pie because it was so delicious and pleased the whole family. Chicken pot pie was marvelous and tasted like paradise. Suzy and Richard couldn’t wait until the chicken pot pie was made and were waiting in their bedrooms. They came to the kitchen and asked Mom where the pot pie was. She opened the oven and brought it out to the dinner table. Mom was pleased with herself and together the family ate a delicious chicken pot pie dinner. She was extraordinarily grateful that the chicken pot pie was so well made and couldn’t wait for tomorrow to make another meal. The whole family went to sleep and were excited because of the chicken pot pie in their bellies.
