Have you ever liked someone?
Your mind and heart in disarray,
Logic screaming in dismay,
Never in sync,
Yet only to sink.
To love is asinine,
Though you're always on cloud nine,
For you want to impress,
Yet you're a beautiful mess.
To love is pleasing pain,
Coming and passing of the train,
Of memories
Of reveries.
To love is to sacrifice,
To your mind love's a vice,
To see her smile is your goal,
But the price is your soul
For she is Aphrodite who steals your heart,
Love shackles and you hate the word 'apart',
Nothing can tear you two asunder,
Love only serves to plunder.
You smile foolishly at the picture,
Never took any heed of the atmosphere,
For love is mentally binding,
That you are struggling finding.
Jealousy is a sin,
As you douse yourself with gin,
Incinerate your heart with passion,
Pillage your soul with condescension.
For she is the moon,
And you are the sun,
To meet is rarity,
To part is imparity.
Love is like the sea,
And you a mere flea,
The ebb and flow of waves,
Of fear of tear of embrace.
