Autumn

Wrote this poem last fall.

Hot soup and soft blankets

A wonderful time of year

Warm hugs and cold weather 

Autumn is finally here 

Sitting by a warm fire

With close friends around

Talking and laughing 

Feeling homebound 

Cuddling in a comfy bed 

Holding someone so tight

Sharing gentle kisses 

Having cute play fights 

Watching the sun as is rises 

on the cold rooftop

sipping on some hot coffee

Wishing the feeling wouldn't stop

Yeah, it's a pretty nice feel to sit near by the fire with friends, laughing, talking and enjoying the moments of life .. and then in nights, go sleep under the same blanket with special someone feeling warmth of love in winter nights. Lovely theme. It's a very refreshing poem which drags out the love in hearts. You've got a kinda soul, Nikki.
