Maybe

Maybe

A Poem by Jacques - iNkwire
"

A piece about denying my own feelings to cope.

"
Maybe she's not as sweet
as you've seen with your eyes
or smelled with your nose
perhaps she's not actually
prettier than a rose
in fact she could wear
shoes indoors for all we know
perchance she does something
to inflate her smile
for no human's grin
can be as long as a mile
Surely the wit she's shown
must be an illusion
and there's no way the air
around her is actually Venusian
Maybe when she eats spaghetti
she wipes the sauce on her shirt
And maybe all these tears you shed
don't actually prove how much it hurts

Hello! I’ve been reading your story and was genuinely impressed by how naturally the emotions unfold. Several scenes instantly translated into strong visual moments in my mind.
I’m a commission-based comic/webtoon artist, and if you’d ever like to explore a visual adaptation, I’d love to discuss it further.

About
Hi. Most of my work is poetry, but I intend to put some stories out in the future. I write about what makes me feel strongly. This approach mostly results in romantic pieces, but I hope to branch o.. more..
