Old TestamentsA Poem by icaros13_
It was good to hear your smile again
Like revisiting forgotten prose Hidden in the passion of King Solomon's songs. The resurrection of old testaments To life, love, and each other Only ache a bit; Aged veteran's scars and wounds. The day you left me standing With my bones and bags and eyes, I felt like Samson facing hordes With just his a*s's jaw, I beat my sword into a plowshare, Could hold no anger for my Delilah. I wear this haircut proud and wait For love's absent anointing. © 2012 icaros13Featured Review
