hungerA Poem by icaros13_
I watch you take
What is not yours With blatant disregard Of consequence You talk of loyalty, Yet betray those To whom you vowed Fidelity and protection You speak of respect Toward our elders While tearing them down Over petty grievance You can veil your face But not your soul Its stench is unmistakable To those with sight With each transgression The hunger grows I'm trying hard To suppress my nature I'm not sure How much longer I can Allow you to harm Those I'm sworn to protect It could be just A matter of time Until I hold your heart And finally feast © 2014 icaros13Reviews
