Old Man is Comin'

Old Man is Comin'

A Poem by icaros13

When the old man
Knocks on my door
I'll open up
And shake his hand
Then follow him
Across the moor
'Cause I won't live here
Anymore

Not bad, I'm sure the old man is off in his corner... rolling his eyes with a smirk...

Yes, it might be just the result of some playing around with words, but the effect is quite curious :) I like it best when my poetry comes with a certain dose of nonsense and eeriness!

even if you are just playing around, I really like it. The simplicity
and honesty & the very strong lovely vision of crossing the moors
of finality.
