Endings like beginnings are not always apparent, in an instant the eye blinks, the landscape changes. Had I known would I have lingered in the space just to feel the edges of it all soften and fade?
I am the mist, seen but for a moment and gone into the dark sky pressing its face against my window, forever waiting to inhale me back to the edge of creation into a past that was so recently present.
I cannot rewrite the chapters from before, they are permanently printed and must remain unedited. Each word was written with a single breath, a testament that I, a speck of stardust, glittered for one glorious moment.
My heart felt a sigh here, stunning visuals hon...moments are captured but time is not infinite, least on this level...truly moved me, I had to inhale deeply after reading this, left its mark in my mind, fantastic! xo
Every single event that happens to us and how we handle them continually molds who we are. SO there is always time to improve on the cracks in our sculptor.

We carve out what we can while we have the time. Thank you so much Dale.
An infinity within a moment and a moment within an infinity can end as quickly as they can start off.
You've used truly lovely metaphors in this one--
"I am the mist, seen but for a moment and gone
into the dark sky pressing its face against my window," it made me really see the pale, pearly face pressed onto the glasspane.
Present becomes our past, and the future melts into our present in the blink of a second. So very true! We must not dwell and lurk in the time that is gone. It is utterly futile to attempt to edit a novel that has already been printed, and leafed through by all...
We were born out of star dust, made to sparkle and sprinkle our glitter all over the place, fluttering about like an insomniac eyelid, and then return to the stars again..

Thank you for such an eloquent and elegant reply. It was beautiful to read.

Superb … just superb.

Hi Pryde!
Thank you so much. It is so nice to see you.
There's no going back, so we must live in the present, but those memories and thoughts, the what-if's come back in all that former glory: Had I known would I have lingered in the space just to feel the edges of it all soften and fade? You know I am a fan....loved every single word. And the ending emerges and I sigh once again: Each word was written with a single breath, a testament...Beautiful. Thank you so very much. Dale

Dale you always write the most thoughtful reviews. Thank you.
I think this really puts life into perspective so perfectly.
There's no looking back, only forward. We're here for a short time only, let's shine our brightest.
Such beautiful poetry and exactly what I needed to read.

Thank you Ana. I am so pleased that you found meaning here.
I do not accept any new friend requests unless we have read and commented on each others poetry. No exceptions. I have enough homework as it is. I expect reciprocity in our exchanges. Read my work and.. more..
