Autumn

Autumn

A Poem by Puja

today i found my motif

i grabbed some brushes new and stiff.

i filled my paper with constant design

i changed myself, you changed your mind.

i outlined your face.

from memory where it stays

i thought about our special place

of our love, its what remained.

the rain at the window pitter pattered

the colors on the brushes spilled and splattered

so i let them drip

down the paper to form your lips.

i found the perfect medium

to balance out the tone.

and under my breath i began to hum,

our old love song.

dipped in water dressed in paint

i colored and dazzeled your every shape

finished and framed in black,

i left it there and never looked back.
