A Few Laws of Nature

We cannot buy friendship,
But we can buy gifts for others and
Thank them from our hearts
For being our friends.

  

Nor can we buy happiness,
But we can joyfully spread it to others
Who are desperately searching for it,
Whether spiritually, monetarily,

Or by putting food on their tables.

  

We cannot demand respect from others,
But we can show respect
To those who truly deserve it.

 

We cannot force others to love us,
But we can choose to love THEM
With an expectation of NOTHING in return.
