New Eyes

I wrote this poem for an art project I did. The poem wraps around the drawing. (About 3 or 4 years ago)

 

 

Open your wings and fly

Open your eyes to see the world

Open your mouth, for freedom of speech

Let the words fall and unfurl

Open a door, to see whats beyond

Find a key to unlock its secrets

Life is too short, to do not but waste

Do not forget, with doubts and regrets

I have opened my wings

I have opened my eyes

I have opened my mouth, to speak my mind

To see this world

For what its worth

And to live this life, on this beautiful Earth.

Not immature, more inspireing emotion. I see nothing childish about this, but it is very creative. Well writen, well expressed. I wonder, is the picture for this poem the one you made for this?

I don't think it's immature at all. Reading it was a breath of fresh air. It just has an uplifting quality to it.
