FRIENDS

inspired by a long time friend

Friend to friend may our bond of sisterhood never end

 

From our first meeting came cautious smiles and greetings

 

And because this world can be so cold

 

When we found that spark of warmth in each other

We embraced and did enfold

 

A strength borne of familiarity

A bond of oneness and similarity

 

Through the years though time has flown

And others and incidents test the love and trust we’ve known

 

Against the intrusion of betrayal and controversy

We guard and protect our friendship’s legacy

 

By each other side we still stand

With respect for each other that true friendship demand

 

We weathered it all and did come through it standing tall

 

This friendship of ours, this sisterhood

 

Our common ground of understanding

That life’s trials keeps on expanding

 

It all points to one thing, the experiences we share,

That for each other we will always care

 

Friend to friend our bond of sisterhood will never end

this is so beautifully put.friendships from friends are very important, they stand by one another threw good bad they understand each other forgive, help and just by listening and being there. were lucky in life to have real true friends were there no intentions behind it. i have a few i've been blessed with and would give my lie for if could there like a sister to me and will always be.theres also some were i thought they were but in the end reliezed i was being used. there has to be respect and trust.I really enjoyed this poem very well put very true. thank you keep writing your great.

This is a heart-warming, intimate piece you have written here...it flows along nicely and full of meaning and warmth....good work!

I have had good friends. And there is a tendency that every 4 years I lose them. They either go abroad or get married or something. I never really had a friend who was my best friend ever since childhood.

But it was good as well, I learn so much from different people, it has evolved me.

Seeing a poetry on friendship is really interesting. As it talks about the bond created.

The message was written well, and the rhythm was good. Good read
