What happened?

What happened to my dreams?

They just died with me.

My soul left me that day

When all my wishing fell through.

What happened to my wishes?

The stars they rode crashed down,

And everything turned dark,

Smothering the light that was hope.

What happened to my hopes?

They were lost in blackness

Where only voices were heard

That stomped out my desires.

What happened to my desires?

They were crushed by words

That told me my self worth.

And I was never enough.
