Will You Marry Me?

Acrostic poem on marrying the love of his life!

        Will you marry me?

       I assure you I love you.

       Living without you would be lonely.

       Life is sweeter with you by my side.

       Your smile brightens' a rainy day

       Often, I lose myself in your eyes.

       Understand I want you for keeps.

       My love, you are my missing piece of puzzle.

       A minute without you is a minute too long.

       Right now, I feel blessed to have you with me.

       Respecting you will never be a problem.

       You are the light in my darkness.

       Marry me and be my wife.

       Eternity is what I want.

Nice Acrostic poem....I like the way you crafted this poem; is so typical of a marriage proposal... man down on one knee and uttering words so often said in a scene like this... but it still comes across really well. The only caveat in my opinion, is that there really is no eternity....but they all say it!

Acrostic poetry like many poetic forms sems to shoehorn the writer into a straightjacket and is difficult to perform without a safety net, but you seem to have been able to inject appropriate narrative that flows into this one. [Don't get me wrong I love trying many forms]
