She Sings Out of Pain

a girl plays a sad song
and like a fool I listen along
thinking of who wrote those notes
wishing I could get some quotes
ask them why you gotta sing that tune
is there some guy your trying to swoon
or do you truly know pain
the kind your body cant restrain
so it floods your sight
no matter how hard you fight
it wins out and the tears fall
I think that’s what i see in my crystal ball
the singer seems to read my mind
for on her cheek a tear i find
don’t pity her though
her pain may show
but from it came her song
so we can all feel along

wow. . .i loved this poem and i mean aboslutely LOVED it. it was short, yes, but oh so powerful and it never ceases to amaze me how our greatest skills come from the pain we suffer. If not for all that I've been through in life i dont think i would be the writer i am today. you captured it excellently
