Today I feel awful

I am truly such a mess

My heart was torn out last night

I hid my tears; I confess

Today I feel awful

But nobody shall know

I play it off as perfectly fine

So my real feelings don't show

Today I feel awful

You probably can't see

I paint a smile upon this face

So you won't know what's wrong with me

Today I feel awful

But I'll keep that to myself

I don't want to be questioned of my feelings

So I hide them on the shelf

Today I feel awful

I admit it was your fault

I love you with everything in me

And last night you broke my heart.
