The Point of Love

a poem questioning the point of love

 

 

What is the point of love,

 

Is it to hurt one another,

 

or to heal with the fact of it,

 

to taunt one with euphoric visions of another,

 

and then snatch them away just as quick,

 

to make a seemingly invincible bond,

 

that can be torn in two because of it,

 

is it to be pulled closer to each other,

 

or is it to be pushed away,

 

is there any point to it at all,

 

if one were to say no,

 

i would not be one to disagree,

 

because love does not need a point,

 

that is what i say is what makes it love,

 

forever and always,

 

love and nothing more
