This isn’t new,

This isn’t bold

It’s not creative

 -That’s what I’m told.

So what if people like it?

So what if they hate it?

It’s been done once or twice,

So why bother?

-It’s all trite.

sometimes i feel this...like the words have been used and overused..

we try to find different combinations...like on dice...how many probabilities of writng a good poem are there each time we sit at the typewriter...and "punch the keys for godsake" as william forrester would say.

are we all trite cliches?

it doesn't matter. it is your interpretation. you have all the power in your writes. those who find fault with a repetitive theme need to examine the originality of the piece...or they are doomed to their own mental laziness. i liked it. and no one has done it the same way twice...that is called plagiarism. this piece is yours and yours alone....
