An old CoatA Poem by IndaHow quickly life goes by.An old Coat
Lungs filled with air, The smell of your mother’s hair And the warmth of her chest. New life; hope for the best.
Newly bought shoes, Pencils sharpened, Trouble adding in twos, Still you continued,
continued on. Eighteen; life is a rock song! The future is so far away, The future arrives the next day.
Dreams struggle To keep afloat, A burst bubble, memories of youth kept in an old coat.
