Outstretched ArmsA Story by IndaForbidden Love.Outstretched Arms Never should have said anything, but the words just poured out of me; a synonym for love. Each punctuation mark was a sign of hesitation. The period at the end of the sentence whispered goodbye. A pair of star crossed lovers indeed, so different and yet alike, for her heart also beats. Maybe it was not her, but the idea of her; what could have been, but will never be. Maybe it’s the mystery that burns in my chest when I speak her name. Maybe the heart aches out of curiosity. Whatever the case I went on to say such words of lust and secret crush and love; simple and honest. Heartbreaking honesty that finds its way into the veins; every breath is a constant reminder of her absence and every lie an homage to her innocence. Her eyes held hope and lacked greed or pride. Out of a multitude of strangers she allowed me inside for I beckoned her to enter into my heart and her trust became her weakness. She left as lovers do and now I long for her outstretched arms. I long for her long hugs and her crooked smile. I long for the smell of her perfume and the fire in her eyes. I long to spend a night with her beneath the moon as this is my true heart’s desire, but alas she’s not mine and I belong to another. Our story is a rumor built upon outrage and judgment; judged by those who call themselves pure. Yet the heart does not lie and neither does she, that’s why I spared her a life of lies; that is what she would have with me. © 2013 Inda |
