white lies;
meant to protect us.
cruel lies;
meant to hurt us,
keeping us in the dark.
creating spaces between us,
as slowly trust
departs.

~ Lies are a sad part of any relationship. When discovered, they can tear at the fabric of any bond between two people when discovered. Trust becomes a dubious undertaking. Nicely done poem. ~
