One Life

Hemingway lived three lives;

a journalist,

  

  a hunter,

a novelist

  and a soldier.

Also 

briefly, 

      a father.

at times

it seemed 

he lived 

not three

but, five 

lives.

yet, as it came undone,

it was just the one.
