A Poem by Ksenia Kazantseva
"

we've all been there.

"
I was up late thinking about you.
I couldn't tell you when my mind started to drift, but I took notice when it found you.
You really love to linger.
I feel the trail of our memories, they left a long mural in the depths of my brain.
A knock on that door and I am always welcoming you with open arms.
I can hear the faint sound of your voice, muffled as the memory loses focus.
It's been a while.
I like when you pop up in my mind to show me how much I have grown.
My eyes get heavy.
What time is it?
I briefly wonder how you're doing, what you're doing, who you're doing.
I smile.
Sending you love and light.
Thank you for visiting.

How the mind returns to where we've been ...after we let go... or more often - the one let go. Strange how some dreams happen AS we're being held... or holding.

Another gem. And it somehow seems familiar, and I see you're from the 6ix, so I can only wonder whether I've heard you read this poem aloud at some place before.....(I know I heard the progression of the fourth to last line somewhere). Anyway, well done! Much enjoyed!

Reflections of a past moment or desires for the current. Either way, they can be the most intoxicating feelings of all. Lovely wording.

Absolutely right , we have been there
I adore poetry that capture the moments , the one that are special for the writer , its magic when the writer can lead me into the place and time and make me feel what they actually felt when the poem was written , same as you did in that wonderful poem
