Frigid Night

Frigid Night

A Poem by Anthony Garcia
"

Cold and blue and Lifeless-Bayside

"

Skin frozen, pull apart from yours.
Numbing digits-
And a rosy tinted nose.
Sniffles and blinks, your eyes,
A pinkish hue.
Chattering teeth- and lips at
Kissing distance.
Hearts’ a pounding, pumping
Reddish juice.
Opals a fingertip away,
Mine and your kaleidoscope lenses.
Were dancing at each other,
While frozen in time-
And body temperature.
You burn me with your stare-
And melt away my pride.
You now reveal a man,
With nothing more to gain-
And nothing less to hide.
