Why not just accept

why say things

you have no

way of knowing

 

How can one

really know

what’s in

another’s mind

 

Our friend

got sick

news poor

from the start

 

It’s whispered

he should

have sought

a second opinion

 

Should have fought

asked for help

explored options

taken his pills

 

He took

the news

set out on his own

across the country

 

Alone he found

what he needed

returned home

put his house in order

 

Invited his friends to dinner

said his goodbyes

turned in

and took all his pills

Truth be known people go through lots of things especially mental illness; hard to know what one do or will do. I hate some people turn to suicide which is a sin in my book, but who am I to judge.

Such a beautiful write, both perspectives of the one suffering and of the ones who are around him. Their pain of having to let go and the pain of the one going through it all is written about in such a real way. I personally loved it, it captures the emotions of an untimely goodbye from both sides in such a human way. Kudos!

This friend made decisions all his life as we all do. It's natural for ones that care to struggle when someone dies. It's just hard. That's all. But the person that sees the future and life end looming has to deal with the reality for themselves. We can't do it. We can help, try to be involved. Many a time that is enough. I appreciated this piece very much.

Yes these days we live are troublesome but we must occupy and live for ourselves within the community we inhabit and those in our paths we
can assist. Your right though our whole world is
groaning and I find myself wondering is we are
brushing our fingertips on the door which will lead to Heaven or hell. I would rather be wrong then die and find out that hell was real and that all the good gifts all around were indeed from a benevolent creator and I had denied the gift of Christ's death on Calvary for just such a groaning
earth and it's groaning people. Anyway I could
say more but will not right this second.
