Pour

Pour

A Poem by MCS

Bring me single malt, neat

make it a double

Bring me heavy fog off the lake

driving rain on the rocks

And a storm with a chaser of hail

I’ll not be evacuated

I want to feel the force of the wind

wade through knee-deep water

Stand under God’s faucet

to keep pouring until I’m refreshed

Keep drinking until my thirst is quenched

and have thirst; drink of me

I want to return as a rainbow
