I absolutely adore poetry that talks about things like this. Not for just the obvious reasons, but also, because it acts as a time capsule of the world we live in. Poetry is so important to society, and many do not understand this.
When I was in school, I loved reading poetry from poets who lived through things such as the Civil War, WW I and II, the Prohibition, and so much more, not only because it was beauitifully structured, but because it gave me a glimpse into a world I was not a part of. To understand the psychology of those who were daily living with this...its both beautiful and tragic all at once.
That is why I have such a soft spot for this piece in particular. Its clear the mindset behind its conception, and its an open window into the time that is all too familiar to us, but wont be to those in the future. When they want to know what we the people were thinking during this rather surreal time period, its pieces like this that will paint the truest picture. I loved your voice, your prose, and how you said what you needed to without being so explicit that there was no artistry. Well done, and a pleasant read despite the muse.

Itdid take me a while to catch on to the title, mainly because here we don't call him POTUS, we just stick to the orange faced manbaby!
But I do get the whole MAGA thing and they should really put more effort in to their Making their Assassins Great Again! 😃

Those in power have been known to pay any price, be it money or blood, to retain that power. But great is their fall if the truth does emerge.
