Serenity

Serenity

A Poem by MCS
"

Do not lose your inner peace for anything whatsoever, even if your whole world seems upset ~ Saint Francis de Sales

"

Muted light, calm sky

Swaying gently in open waters

The soul communions with the quiet

No need for words,

The silence holds everything

A truth too tender for sound

Nicely written. I noticed that you used "communions" rather than "communes," a small difference, but yours "rings" better poetically and coveys a more religious feeling which suits the poem much better, at least for me.
Quite nice.

So should we all.
"The soul communions with the quiet." The scale of this extraordinary line says everything. No other words are needed.

Quite a beautiful meditation here. Indeed, if we could achieve stillness and silence, we might see the way out of all our problems.
