Hypocrisy

Hypocrisy

A Poem by MCS
"

Hypocrisy is the audacity to preach integrity from a den of corruption. ~ Wes Fesler

"

All the gold, mine for the taking

If theft is the toll, so be it

Respect will follow

They call me saviour

A prophet with a side hustle

Prayer caravans, roaming the land

Admission a mere fifteen dollars

A desperate fee for heaven’s gate

But tell me when did God start accepting bribes

And how long until hell yawns wide

To swallow this parade of vacant eyes and hollow hearts

Marching to the rhythm of salvation-for-sale

Except, the prosperity gospels are not biblical. Nothing in the Bible sacradizes wealth.
