A Poem by Introverted Author

I wrote this not only about myself, but about every other person in the world who has their own stories they would like to tell.

I am a book,
With a dusty cover
And a worn spine,
With torn pages
And smudged ink

Will you be the one
To take the time
To read me,
From cover to cover

Will you take me
From my shelf and read
My story,
My thoughts,
My pain

Will you even open me,
This old book

Dust me off
Peek inside
Open your mind
To stories untold

This reminds me of one I wrote a while back. I also connected the life of one with a book. It's a very natural connection and one which fits perfectly!

My fave part:
