Daddy, DaughterA Poem by AshleeShe's beautiful. The apple of my eye. In her world, we always play. I am King, she's my Princess. There is nothing I love more.
He's my world, Everything I have. Fantasy stories every night. Kisses on the cheek. He tightly tucks me in.
My heart aches as she grows. No more ribbons, No more bows. "I want a car," she says. "Make it bright red."
I love him more then life, Forever in my heart he will stay. Boys come and go, But, he will always stay. Alway be in love with me.
She smiles as she asks me for help. I will give her away today. No longer my little girl. 28, and gorgeous, is how she looks to them. for me, she looks no older than 3.
Today, I will enter my life. My daddy by my side. No more games, Not even the fairytale stories. For my prince has already come.
My girl is grown, I have no others. My heart still loves her. She has a girl that I see everyday. In my heart, she will always be first.
He sees my daughter all the time. I know that can not fill my place. I am special in his heart, And him in mine. I love him.
My daughter
My daddy.
I love you.
I love you too. © 2008 AshleeAuthor's Note
